    tricking check panel

is there any way to trick the check panel? i wasnt getting any power to my license plate lights so i spliced into the running lights for power and they work good now. the only problem is that my check panel knows that the stock wiring is not getting any power so it flashed so im trying to trick it.

There isn't a way to trick it. The check panel will go off even if there isn't a correct load on the socket, i.e. if you put a LED bulb in any of the sockets related to the check panel, the light will trip.

EDIT: I take that back, there are ways to trick it, but they are much harder than it would be to just fix it right. You could hunt down resistor that replicates the load of a real bulb then put it in the line somewhere before it loses power.

dude, thats probably too much work, I say either electrical tape or a sharpie over the offending bulb(s).

Test the grey/red off the light switch. If it has voltage report here. If it does not have voltage, replace switch...then report here.

No, the alarm is not causing an issue.

Well, at least not that issue.
