yeah, definitely man. im yet to hear the current album, but im scared of how its gonna sound without some direction from Shadow.

There's a new UNKLE album coming out? Is it just Lavelle?

Just looked it up on Amazon, apparently the latest UNKLE offering was "Never Never Land" in October of '04. I must be slipping in my old age! I'll have to pick this up.
Looks like the new guy on board with Lavelle is Richard File. Most of the reviews have said that the absence of Shadow is definitely noticeable, but it doesn't stop the album at all from totally standing on it's own.

I've also just learned that UNKLE produced and contributed several tracks to the film "Sexy Beast", one of my favorite movies. Jeez, I'm way out of the loop here.

newer than Psyence Fiction ... Never Never Land, came out here a while back, i think it came out in US late last year.

Four years have passed since Unkle's debut album 'Psyence Fiction', one of the nineties more controversial releases. But that was then and this is now... and now is very different...

Unkle return with "Never, Never Land" - a clash of high and low emotions, featuring a stellar line up that includes Ian Brown, 3D(Massive Attack), Jarvis Cocker(Pulp), Brian Eno, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) and more.

Admitting to applying dance techniques to make non dance music 'Never Never Land' pulses with clubby nuances and retains a hip hop aesthetic. Notable samples include Black Sabbath-era Ozzy Osbourne on the opening track 'Back and Forth' and Norman Whitfield of the Undisputed Truth on 'Eye For An Eye'.

The album is rich in atmosphere, a lush cinematic experience in sensurround sound. If 'Psyence Fiction' sounded like a compilation, 'Never, Never, Land' is a total trip. And it's been quite a ride for the men from Unkle.
