Alright, well the F1 season starts in what 2 weeks? My friends obsessed with it are already talking about the USGP. And I'm trying to see who is coming out to Indy and whose going to be there.
If you are coming, I highly recommend coming for the whole weekend and signing up for the BMWCCA F1 corral where you can get food and hang out the weekend. Last F1 race there was a police-escorted cruise around downtown Indy and I got to see the Porsche GT3 racing which was badass. Corral info:
So $45 gets you grub for the weekend as stated and you can hang out. And for those over 21, there are Kegs are the corral. Read: Charlie, there are kegs at the corral.....all weekend.
And then you got to pick up tickets, here are the single day admission tickets
I highly recommend the 3 day combination pass. You get in & out priveleges on Friday adn Saturday during the Porsche races and practice and qualifying, so you can go between the track and the corral to get shade and refreshments, then you can go to the infield hills during the race which I personally prefer to being in a traditional seat.
So $105 for food and the track events all weekend. Or $165 for that plus parking your car at the corral itself. The Hoosier BMW F1 corral is seen as one of the biggest BMW events of the year, and that $$$ is well worth what you get to see and do and the fun you'll have.
Hotel and accommadations are all about Indy. If you want to not pay for parking, I'm actually going to pay for what I didnt' know was corral paid parking, oops. So if you stay on the northside, we can carpool. And I already informed one person they are welcome to stay on my couch. Don't know about people I'm not familiar with. But you can always camp out and save $$$ that way.
And we should organize an E30 cruise sometime or perhaps get some drinking in and pick up some of those hot euro chicks. HA, or just party and go to Saturday's events hungover. Anyway, let me know if you are interested. I might post some pictures from last year's events.
I do expect some of you to make it out. I already have found in the past year many of my friends around me and the people I have met or gotten to know better are F1 fanatiacs so this year should be a blast!
