    I just want to get an idea of what e30's are worth

    Well the DMV told me today that my 91 318is was worth $650! lol

      i think my 4 door late model 318 thats been tastfully modified(brand new paintjob, stack of receipts....etcetc) is worth $3500.

        Id say on average a good standing e30 is around 2500. They are always so different thought, there isnt a set figure

          base prices for average not trashed or particularly nice
          early model slushbox $800
          early model 5 speed $1200
          late model slushbox $1200
          late model 5 speed $2000

          This is for 200k miles, body average, rust average for the region, not trashed or broken just normal daily driver condition.

          Those #'s are not approximations by the way they're perfect.

          As for your prices....

          say u start with a late model 5 speed for 2g's.
          Same car M50'ed $3500
          S50/S52'ed $4500-5000
          well done 5 lug e36 m3 fronts and 318ti/z3 rear with decent wheels +1000

                Mine's an 86 eta.

                160K miles,
                no rust,
                clean interior,
                a few dents,
                all maintanence work,
                decent stereo,
                suspension and (soon) wheels, some nice mods

                its basically a perfect daily driver. i'd want $3K for it.

                    it all depends on area really.

                    Around here stock late models can fetch anywhere from 3-5k depending on mileage and condition. They can be found on CL for cheaper from just a random person knowing nothing about BMWs.

                    Stock Early models fetch 2000-3500 also pending condition.

                    M50/52 cars normall fetch around 4k and up but Personally I wouldnt pay over 4500 for a clean one unless it was heavily modified (cams, c/os etc...).

                    S50/52 cars can be had anywhere from 5500-9k.

                    5 lug cars dont give me a boner so I wouldnt really pay extra for it, but usually add 1.5k (ish) for e30 m3 swap or less for a e36m3 ti setup.

                    A lot of peopler would rather perfer a stock base to start from and build their own ride, but from experience Id rather look for an already modded car. Especially with s50/52 swapped, c/o cars.

                      1987 325is over 225k. Bought from non-enthusiast.

                      20-60w Castrol GTX
                      Fuel filter
                      O2 sensor
                      Fuel absorber (yeah, had to figure that one out myself, rusted POS)
                      Bils - HD
                      Reconditioned 14" weaves. New Kumhos 205/55/14s
                      Detailed interior. One big ass crack on passenger bolster. Rest is pretty clean, except two crack dash.
                      Redline MT and Diff fluids
                      Cleaned ICV. Replaced intake boot and a couple vacuum lines.

                      The car now purrs. Sweet 6 inline M20 goodness. Pulls to redline w/ 4.10 stock LSD. Old ass suspension needs work now, but I can pull to 112-115mph and still have some to go. No knocking, or pinging. Valve train sounds appropriately like a 1975 Singer Deluxe Seamstress. No smoking. Mild leaking. About a quart top off between 4k mile OC's.

                      Need to R and R the front suspension ASAP. CA/CABs, t rods, end links, etc. Bearings seem ok for now. CV joints and rear suspension need some attention as well.

                      No heat
                      No AC ......thanks PO. You suck.
                      No radio. Busted antenna. CD works ok.
                      One fog light not working. It fell out due to PO's creative wiring scheme and broke the bulb.

                      Cosmetically: This is always a buyers own fault, cause I bought it like this...LOL.

                      Rust: Only a small patch in the battery tray. Fixed with wire brush and rustolem paint.

                      I call this Bimmer the Pimple, cause of the hail damage to roof, hood, and passenger fender. Rear deck is de-clearcoated and oxidized. The rare and awesome IS early cowcatcher is mangled probably beyond repair and held together with black Rhino tape. No rear valance of course, it's an early model. Paint is ok overall but could use a respray. Buffs up nice except for the rear deck of course. Need to remove pinstripe still.

                      Plan is to maybe install the BBS side skirts I have on hand, mud guards and then shadowline and respray the whole car. Upgrade to 15" weaves or some other wheel. Tint rear window only.


                      Doing this weekend:

                      Plugs NGK (lower temp rated to match my lower temp thermo)
                      New exhaust donuts throughout
                      Slave cylinder for MT. Adjust and tighten clutch pedal travel
                      Maybe put in a shift kit, or replace bushings and such


                      Worth? Ill sell it for 3800.00 cash today.

                              this is very true. what a car is worth to the owner is not what it is worth in the real world. Most of us have attachments to our cars that make them worth more to us personally.
