    What's next? Should I .............

Let me start off by saying....Thanx.
Thank you for pulling up my post. I have recently purchased an 87 325e with a plastic bumper conversion. The tranny was appart because the previous owner was trying to replace it on his own. Uppon not making any progress,he decided to sell the car. Thats where i come in,looking at the car and not knowing what i was looking at, I was overwhelmed with joy cause he was selling it to me for a fraction of what my budget was. So I oked the sale.(DUHH)
I have always loved the E30, and was content that i found one. Now the car has been at the shop for over 4months and still not in driving worthy condition. I slowly realized that the motor was swapped for an IS motor and that the clutch was forced in and bent a few things (the fork by the fly wheel) Thow out bearing was not installed properly.
Finally after 4months,all the mehanicals of the motor and tranny are where they should be.
I purchased suspension from Turner, Billies & H&R set up.Installed.
Joined a group buy from E30 motorwerks for the stromung exhaust, installed
Doing complete break overhaul, Brembo blanks and caliper rebuild.
    New Konig Remembers,gold, New tires Toyo Prox4 205/50 16's

Since it is an 87, the fact that it has no rear valence with plastic bumpers really bugs me! Bumper swap is crappy but I have a set of new plastic bumpers. Needs paint job (has one, but dripps are every where). Original color was Dolphin gray, now its red!! Interior is in ok condition, needs to be cleaned and that's it ! Ohh yeah, seats have to be dyed. but no rips in leather and work great. Some electrical issues but all windows work, including sun roof.

Now that i have BORED you to death, I just want to now what direction to go with the car.
Should i sell the car for a late model?
Should i just get the Mtech 2 rear bumper? Or the whole kit?
Should I spend the money on a paint job?
Should I put back the diving boards "Tucked"?
Should i do poly bushings allover?

In other words,"WTF SHOULD I DO" !!!!! I dont want this to turn into a money pit!! I want to keep her but am i doing it to the right car???!!!

only you can decide what you want to do, ive spent 3-4months last year and another 4-6months this year, working on my car. I've replaced almost everything from brakes, suspension to the engine, gas tank and lines. Some guy offered me 8000$ for my car and I said no, some say im crazy but i've put so much work into the car that no amount of money would justify me selling it.

If you really like your car, learn to work on it. Its much cheaper than getting a shop to do everything.

Thanks danny. I love the car! Just a bit worried about the turnout! Dont think im gonna sell her but not sure if the money work and time are going to the right car.
Also, i live in Mass and not too many people (creditable) available !

what you do is only determined by your budget.

any e30 you buy for less than 5 grand is going to have a host of issues. you've already fixed all the mechanical issues so i think i'd keep the car. car needs a good cleaning. i believe there is someone on bimmerforums that sells a modified rear plastic bumper that will fit early models exactly. might have to search for that.

Is that a hack job installed oil cooler behind the front valence or are my eyes deceiving me? I would check that out and possibly secure it properly
