Sigh, newb question

K, I was talking about buying my friends neighbors car in another post

now... Its a 325i but it has the sports package and is 2 door. Does that make sense to anyone? I thought all 325i came in 4 door. It has the 325i front lip, and (I dont remember its been a while since i've seen it in person) and i thought the info about it in the door said it was a 325i as well. Is that possible? am i missing something?

If it is a 325i 2 door, what are the differences? If I buy aftermarket parts, would it be for an iS or for a i ? sigh, i confused myself.

An i and is are more or less the same car, The is having things like an OBC, front and rear spoilers, basketweaves, different seats, premium audio, and a couple other minor things. As far as the actual mods, it's all the same. This car you're looking at does not have a sports package at all, it's just a 325i 2 door.

Why you would be considering paying $5k for a bronzit auto 325i is beyond me but I guess that's your deal.

325i= 2 door or 4 door with gross bottlecaps and standard seats
325is= only 2 door with sexy basketweaves and sport seats

ah ok, i know all the stuff about the iS already, i just wasnt sure about the 325i in the 2door thing.

And im not paying that much for it, for one. And for another it only has 83k miles on it. And for another its PERFECT. Incredible condition. Why WOULDNT i pay 5000 for it? thats how much I paid for my last e30, cept it was white and 4 door with 97k.

Just stating that if he had the choice, he would probably like rolling on weaves than on bottlecaps. We are talking about factory parts too.

Find me a 325is 5 speed in Richmond, Virginia with low miles and nice condition and THEN i might consider your post about its value worth something. Until then, this is a great find for me, and I already have alpina wheels, why would it matter whats on the car now :-\
