I won't buy a peice of shit... I will buy one that needs a headgasket or someother repair that makes it cheap to buy.
I don't have 6-7k for a "project car" I have my M3, thats all the "project" I need right now in my life... 8)

I love my e28. They really are bulletproof. Mine has 208k on it and it runs incredibly right now with no work on the internals. That will change though as we are probably heading down the forced induction road soon, as to take advantage of the strength of the m30. Dont knock the diving boards! They saved me from a lot of damage once...it was raining and I hit a puddle rounding a corner with my bald 235's, I tired saving it but dropped a wheel off the shoulder and spun twice into the woods...the diving boards plowed down everything in my way and I was left with only one scratched wheel. The tow truck operator that pulled me out was amazed, as was the cop that was there. We just bought some euro bumpers last week though, so no more tree plowing :(

Mitzerio,
A M535is does not exist. The US got the 535i and 535is. Europe got the 535i and M535i. Does the car you are describing have chrome bumpers or body colored bumpers?

I say go with the e28 instead of the e34. They are nice cars, very solid and reliable. Ask Robert about his. You know....Doreen's brother? If you're interested I can send you his AIM sn so you can pick his brain.
And BTW, for all the people talking smack about the e30 M3 brakes.....they are the same as those on a M30 powered e28. What does that mean you ask? Anything you can bolt up to the e28 you can ALSO bolt up to the e30 M3. So the M3 would then stop even better than the e28, due to the weight difference. A 850CSi set-up would be pimp....mainly since the calipers say "Motorsport" on them......but I need to stop dreaming.....SOMEBODY messed with my sig so now you get this one:
