TP-Link is a great company, I got this for a client's laptop and works perfectly. Significantly higher signal boost. Should be perfectly fine. Personally I would suggest upgrading your router to a Netgear Wireless N setup. I've never been a fan of linksys.

One last thing I need is a good software KVM solution so I can run a ubuntu on an old dell box with out all the mess of the cables. Anyone?
EDIT: I guess i need a VNC? I want KVM over lan, not just KM.Last edited by george graves; 08-03-2010, 05:12 PM.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?

There's a company called "Alpha" That makes 500mW usb adapters that actually require 2 USB ports. They also have a standard Antenna connector (I forget the name of it) so you can buy a high gain antenna. I had one for a couple of years before I lost it but that thing was amazing; I could get a solid connection on Access points 100 ft away, and detect ones almost twice that distance. And if I remember correctly it uses a realtek chipset which makes it perfect for cracking WEP/WPA if you're into that kind of thing.<-- F*** that guy
