Shahe, I am definitely interested, price dependent, of course. But worry not, for I'm not one of the lowballing members that will run at the sight of triple digits.

This is just too funny to me.
Bret.
Because I was expecting around $200-250, based on what I know about the cost of the VIS hood, and what I've been told about making CF pieces. Lowballing is one thing. $400 for a carbon fiber sunroof, (while I understand the cost of making such an item) is just too far out of my league. You guys call those of us who can't afford these things cheap, but the biggest reason I have, along with others, is I've got many other things to spend $400 on right now, such as handling improvements and engine projects. I'm not one of the ones offering $8 for a license plate frame when the asking price is $10, or so forth. Some of us just aren't made of money, aside from the fact that I JUST bought my new E30. Trust me, if I had the cash to blow, I WOULD buy one.
Charlie and Eric, in all fairness, you guys know I'm not one of these super-cheap, lowballing cheapskates that would rather pay $20 for a used water pump than pay $40 for a new one. :D
Let's see what the cost gets down to when the REAL cheapskates are out. I really would like one. If it gets down to $250-275, like you are wanting, I will be in for sure (at least depending on when payment is due by).
I'm kind of dead-set on getting my suspension done first.
Most R3V members are almost out of high school or in college and for some people hundreds of dollars IS a big deal. While I am 100% sure this piece is the best of quality you must udnerstand that some people find it dificult to drop $400 on a sunroof panel, know what I mean Charlie?
You guys keep saying people need to commit but who's going to be willing to commit when the price is totally not for sure, not many people. Please no flaming, I have the utmost respect for Shahe and what he's done with these along with the other balla's on this thread, just trying to make the poor guy side of the story heard. I could go buy a CF hood for $450, come on
i will have both peices at bimmerfest. the fg one is just as high in quality, but it is ready to paint. the cf ones are ready to install and survive the elements.
as for price, it is where we stand now, i want to see if i can get enough guys to bring it down, how many times do i have to say it.
Id still rather have a CF one. So ill see you a Bfest(unless i have to work) Will you be selling a b fest? Or just showing off? But no matter what, IM IN.
