    What's it worth? 1985 635csi

I'm looking at an 85 euro spec 635csi for sale. Its got a dogleg gearbox with euro bumpers and euro check panel etc. Looking to see how much these are worth/what you would pay for something like this

Sorry for the small pictures, there from a cellphone I'm assuming.
This picture is very misleading. The paint is horrible on the drivers door, but looks somewhat like this picture on the rest of the body. Some light surface, (very light!), rust on some scratches in the trunk area.

Recaro Fishnets and some of the interior, (also misleading).

    The good:
    • Runs strong and pulls great
    • Recaro fishnets in mint condition
    The bad:
    • Wheels are in horrible condition. I swear I thought they were going to break. They had the paint chipping and just over all were horrible. Rust too. Only 3 of 4 caps
    • There is no kick panel and there are tons of stereo/alarm wires underneath steering column.
    • There is a different speaker on every corner
    • Headliner is coming apart
    • Rear seat is pulling a part at the center
    • Front valence is banged up and needs paint, desperately
    • Trunk hardly opens at all or properly for that matter and needs to be reattached at the hinge inside the trunk
    • Every panel in the trunk is not on/broken
    • There is another clusterfuck of stereo wires in the trunk
    • Hard dings on the trunk with very light surface rust apparent
    • Shifter boot is torn/knob pulls off with every shift
    • A/C doesn't work
    • Rear windows hesitate and roll down very slow
    • Electrical issue with the headlights
    • Drivers door is very faded which makes it appear to have been in an accident. Paint looks good everywhere else besides drivers door.
    • M-Tech I wheel has the leather coming off, and is hanging on at one part
    • There is a weird, very light shake when taking off in first from around 1000rpm to 2800rpm
    • The shifter is very very sloppy. I may just be used to my z3 shifter with new bushings. Who knows
What would you pay for something like this?

The condition you describe it in makes me think maybe 2k? But it is a somewhat rare car with some rare cars. Considering that maybe 3.5k???

Before you buy it, drive it up to 60 mph. Find out where/when it shakes. The shake in the low RPM's might be tranny mounts or engine mounts. How much play is in the steering wheel? Like e28's, e24's have steering box's that do need a rebuild or new box after a while. Control arms will probably also need to be replaced. Take a look at the driveshaft and guibo too. Want a good checklist?

180k. I went and looked at it and it didn't have the shake above 60. Just a little shake as explained. I offered 2500 and he refused. I wouldn't pay more than 3k for it.

M30B35. It pulled really hard, but it needed soo much work. Suspension felt shot as well. But the euro was too cool! Lot's of cool euro goodies on it.

It looks like a beater with euro bumpers. Too much work for $3k.

Thanks for the clarification. That's exactly what I offered him. Oh well, I guess he'll find a buyer...eventually.
