    mount and balance tires

Anyone ever used a bubble balancer before. Harbor freights got one on sale and im thinking about picking it and a mounter up. Ive seen some mods done to the mounters, like plasti dip and a stabalizer. Good way to have a diy tire service.

Nobody mounts and balances their own tires?

I'd be fine doing the mounting myself, but not the balancing.

          Dude,

If you can mount one of todays performance tires (tyres) with one of those I'll give you a dollar. Be sure to make you tube videos of your attempts.

Ive done a 225 55 17 with no trouble. The low pros are a little pain in the ass and a run flat may be impossible but it sure beats taking them to a shop at 15 bucks a pop. The tool pays for itself in 2 tires. Now its the balancing that im going for. There arent many options.

Sounds like you need to make friends with a tire shop. I pay $10 a pop for mounting, balancing, and disposal of the old tires. I have access to the machines but its not worth the frustration.
