regular 20w-50 GTX (not high-mileage) on my 1990 325i with 125k miles
My car burns/leaks a quart every 1k miles. I just keep a 5qt jug in my trunk and fill it up, don't wanna waste money on a rebuild if I don't even know how much longer it'll be pushing my car. I did however replace the cam seal, valve cover gasket, and will replace the oil pan gasket. That should be good enough until I figure out what my plans are.

leaks a little out of the pan gasket and i top it up a bit every couple of weeks, but i look at it as a progressive oil changePBMW Magazine. PVW Mag
