Thanks I will contact him. I remember the two of you invited me to come down to meet you guys and your cars a few weeks ago. But I was too ashamed to bring my clunker over. Now I think it'll be ok. I'll be in touch with Denis

      Listen to me here...

Never repaint a different color. It will make it very hard to sell the car. The quality will suck, as Im going to bet you wont pull the engine, windows, etc and take it down to bare metal.

Ive never seen a good respray changing the color. Especially to black. Im sure others will argue with me on this but its a big mistake.

The car you have looks right now as good as most on here.....LOL. Im sure once you hang around a bit and research you will see that and appreciate what you have. Personally, I dont care for Bronzit, but some do.

Im going to bet you end up keeping this car!!

      Good lucks!!

        ^^^^^ agree
my car got resprayed before i bought it and whoever painted it sucked its peeling off and my original color was a dolphin grey metallic why would u paint it black

if you do a respray you have to do the whole vehicle if you ever wanna resell it and get ur money back dont do a half ass job

Yeah, I know. If I WAS to paint it black, I would definitely pull the engine, and everything else, and do it right. However, I do know that at the cost of a job like that, I could buy 4 BMWs. . . .So I've pretty much signed off on painting it black.

However, I wouldn't mind touching up the bronzit at some point. Very faded on the hood and roof, and there are some large scratches. Also, some peeling on the fenders.

But paint will be the last thing I do. Last night, some drunk idiot cracked a hole in my right taillight. So Now I gotta add that to my list.

Stock taillights are both very cheap to buy and super easy to replace so don't even worry about that. How is it running after going through the shop?

Running much better, thanks. Still a coupla issues. All I had him do was the clutch fan, t-stat, coolant flush. New front struts, and exhaust mount. Still need much work, and yes, there are plenty of funny sounds and movements. But at least I can drive it now.

I'd love to show you the car sometime soon. I'd love to get an expert's opinion and diagnostic.
