I dont start out in Auto but as i start to get bored of a game and the difficulty increases I just play in auto.....

I usually drive manual. All my friends play Auto though. They state it's hard to keep track of revolutions. The only time I play Auto is when I want to have some fun drifting in a game. There it's just easier for me to let the computer handle shifting. But for everything else, manual.

Usually auto because the controllers are kind of a bitch to get used to with shifting (dont play enough to learn them since I down own either). The arcade games, back when there were arcades, I preferred manual.

i play auto b/c it's practically the same as manual in all the games that i've played & most games let you down shift in auto anyway.

Auto would be fine on the upshifts but you've got to be able to downshift manuallly.

Actually, I've never tried playing auto on a racing game, downshifting is a must.

gotta be manual, i'm much faster with it. can't control the car as well with an automatic and plus i like to be in control of everything.
