E30 BMW Buying Guide Translated from German to English

Took me a good chunk of time roughly 4-5 hours yesterday and a another couple hours today, but finally got it all translated from German to English.

If you’re in the market for an BMW E30 (1983-1991 well technically to 1994 but let’s not get all technical :)) you should probably have a look at this buyers guide. Got this write up from http://www.e30forum.de/diyfaq/kaufberatung/kaufberatung.htm unfortunately it is in German... fortunately i have done my best to translate it to English! Enjoy! I have added and

        Very informative and well done.

        Just a few things wrong
The m42 engine was in 318i and 318is and was also in 318convertibile, also the 4.10 lsd was an option and not standard in the 318is

Nice work, thanks. Now you've just gotta include the most important detail: How to negotiate a good price.

The lsd part was my fault during translation it is now fixed. The 318i with a m42 i must of over looked because in europe it was offered with a m40, however i have made those changes also.

            Thanks!

^^^ You're correct: European cars never came with the M42 except the 318is. All other 318i's had the M40 or on earlier cars, the M10. And since this is a German guide, it will only be discussing EU models.
