this wire comes off my harness, i dont know if it is a ground or belongs to something. i touched it to a wire with constant electricity and my dash lit up and i could hear my blower fans on low, but the keys were not in the car. any ideas????

It depends on what harness you have. Its either a ground that goes to the shock tower, or a power that goes to the power block on the firewall.
BTW, don't just randomly touch wires to power, that's what wire diagrams and multimeters are for.-DanComment
