anyone know where I can get one of these?

I lost my trunk storage tray, left it at the carwash last week when I was vacuuming my trunk.

    it looks like this:

and the part # on it is 82 11 9 413 196. did a search for that part # on realoem.com but came up with nothing. :x

I think they came on M3s.

M3's didn't have that, they have a different peice that holds the jack handle and the tire iron because they use a totally different jack (due to side skirts being in the way).
I searched that part # on the BMW parts website (dealer access only) and its not a valid #. I would search on e-bay, and maybe check your part #...

I know it's the part # that was on there for sure (unless I copied it down wrong). what else could it be from?

          Nando,
I will check and see if there is a part number on mine tomorrow. I can't find one on the net either.

PM Jordan, when he was here, he commented on mine. Said they were hard to come by and expensive when you found them. He might know a little more.

          :)

That is the right part number. The ETK shows it as 'E' status which means its no longer avalible. If you want to see for yourself it is under main group 51 under Luggage compartmant storage partition.

there's another version of it that bolts to the top of the battery cover. I have a few at the shop, but I don't know

              party.

try half way between UK and AUS ... some dumb waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles sharked me off one on ebay. dickhead.

maybe have a look on the euro ebay sites, since alot of the EU cars had more options.

that sucks, I was hoping it was still available, but I figured it wasn't. I guess I'll just keep my eyes peeled, but I've never seen one for sale as long as I've had my car. :(

Why is this piece such a big deal to you? Just want to preserve the authenticity of your car?

because it was extremely useful. I know the battery tray one is available, but I can't stuff a loaf of bread in there :P

more than anything it just annoys me that I had it but was stupid enough to lose it.

There're companies that make trunk trays you know :D Or is it that important to have an original?

I stick to OEM whenever I can. ;)

this thing fits perfectly over the jack, I was surprised when I found out all E30s didn't come with them. my trunk seems naked without it..
