The MZ3 rack is the same as the 96-99 M3 rack and almost identical to the regular E36 rack. The better rack is actually the Z3 non-M rack, as it's got the same travel, is linear and a higher rate. All Z3 non-m racks should be the same, but I'd confirm it just to be sure.
I was just researching this the other day as I plan on doing this in the near future. Here is a good thread explaining the different models and their mm/rev specs. It really explains how some people are fooled by the quick lock to lock of the 95 M3 rack when it is actually the slowest.
Here is a link to complete swap kits for the conversion, although, I believe it could probably be done cheaper if you took the time to source everything yourself.
