I have a 1991 vert with 108k on it. things that squeak:
1 drivers window all the way up will squeak.
    2 lid for top squeaks.
    3 rear speaker covers squeak.
4 when i go over any kind of bump the doors squeak.(both of them)
5 IE exhaust pipe squeaks when i accelerate from 5-15mph
6 if the top is up, its loud as all hell over 60mph
    SOLUTION! really Fing loud stereo!!!
and the huge plus. the ladies love verts
    Much wow
    I hate 4 doors

Mason make a x-brace also that is nice. This together with a strut brace stiffens them up pretty nice. They will not be as stiff at the coupe. I would not track a vert but for daily driving they are lots of fun here is socal.

Well mine squeeks and rattles, mostly over bumps and uneven pavement. It's pretty sorted out with eibach, billies X brace and mostly new bushings (needs new sway bar bushings). I would say it's noticably more than a 325e we had years ago. It's my first convertable and I love it!

How many times did you change the wheels on that?

They're slightly heavier than a regular e30, but they do feel much better after you do suspension work.

I did not even notice the wheels:)

And just to keep to the thread topic, both of my verts have more interior noise than our coupes but you get use to it. That's life with a rag top.

                Cheers,

Hmm. I'm not entirely convinced after reading all your comments that buying a vert is a good idea.

The one I am considering is very very clean, almost mint, but it has 180k miles on it, so I am sure it is going to rattle and squeak like crazy.

I hope you don't mind, but I am going to use this pic to start a new thread, as I got those same BBS rims but with the stock color. I am digging the dark charcoal color of these rims and think it would look killer on my Delphin Gray convertible.
