that didn't get me shit, but I have read bumpers, bumpers, bumpers and two of the DIY tech articles and it was my understanding that the 87s need some fairly heavy modification to fit them?

maybe I'm missing something, searches on the E30 forums are garbage...

if I can put plastics on an 87 without chopping off the front and back of a whole 'nother car I'd be getting one asap

Search harder. The front is a bolt-on swap. The rear bumper needs to be shortened about an inch to fit well.

OK found it, just requires some extra junkyard parts (front air dam, rear bumper shocks and apron) as well as the bumpers (in my case I'll use an Mtec2 kit) and then some shaving in the wheel well and body work to make it look finished, AMIRITE

well if its a real mtech2, it would be a shame to fuck with the rear bumper.

That rear bumper isn't even plastic. It's a painted and tucked aluminum bumper.

No shaving or any body work. You need to cut a little piece out of the rear bumper to make it shorter front to back. It's simple really.
