Im sure i'll get flamed for this: I have two choices (basically) do i continue to rebuild my e30 (rebuild and turbo my m20, suspension, body, paint, interior, 5-speed swap, $$$$) or do i sell my car and buy a low mile e36 m3? Im looking for pros and cons using factual substantial information as opposed to your own opinions. If you have another car in mind that would be under 10 grand I'd be glad to hear it but real information is what I'm after.

how much $$$ do you think you could get for your e30 as it is? Is it all taken apart? I would say if you're second guessing before you start with the e30, you should probably just go for the e36.sigpic -

Once i finish the bodywork and paint i could get 2k out of my car. This has been my first car and I've put a lot time and some money into it. I'm really trying to figure out if i should stop spending on the e30 before i dump a whole bunch of cash into the thing and save up for an M3Comment

Sounds like you don't really love that e30. Do yourself both a favor and move on.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

After owning a 95 325i, i just don't think I want to venture off to the e36s anymore... just too damn many things that go wrong...
I love my e30 now. They just got it right back then. The e36... not so much...

I was thinking the same thing. The E36 M3 would be the more cost-effective as well as "turn-key" option. We can go on & on & on until the cows come home about how we love/hate E36s. My advice, if costs are a concern, go with the newer alternative. Clean and well maintained E36 M3s can be had for sub-$10K these days. The fixed up E30 would be a labor-of-love project....you get just as much enjoyment preparing it as you would driving it.
