    Is my fuel pump dying?

    OK, so i need to know whats going on with my 1991 325i vert
    on hot days if i shut off my car and try to restart it im screwed until i pond on the top of the fuel pump. it only happens with it has been hot, but now its starting to happen more frequently. is my fuel pump dying? and if so how long do i have till its shot? cause im gonna drive to LA from san jose in 2 weeks and i dont wanna have it die on me on the way down or back.

        You are on the verge of the pump dying bro. I definitely would not be driving to LA on that one. I happen to have a good used pump if you want to throw that in for the trip. Works as good as new, reliable, and only one third the cost!
        The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

          I purchased a new one from BMA last year for less around $225 I think.

          Best post up a WTB ad for a good fuel pump 'cause yours is on the way out.
