How to contact BMW north America?

Talked to a registered importer yesterday, need to call bmw, give them my vin, and get a letter that the car complies with U.S. regulations. Anyone know how I can contact them?

Are you a member of BMWCCA? I would try one of the folks who oversees the activity & events in your local chapter. These folks tend to know folks who know people in places that could get you an answer.

Contacting BMWNA directly may not yield much. I've heard horror stories about them turning a cold shoulder to customers with questions/concerns/complaints.

Check the chapter directory and find the one that represents your area. Seeing you're in upstate New York, I'm sure there's got to be club chapter in your area (I'm on the west coast so I'm not that familiar with your neck of the woods). While you're in touch with a chapter rep, find out about upcoming events such as auto-x or tech sessions. When you get your Roundel mag, check the classifieds in back. Interesting/desirable goodies appear now and then.

I joined but it wont let me access the web stuff as I have to put in my username and password, which it says will arrive via snailmail, which coul dbe a few weeks. shiett, I need to speed this up

friend of mine got me the info i needed, and I just got a number for a bmw office. we'll see how it goes, I have to find a land line before I can call them though
