Damn. I'd own that in a heartbeat.

My favorite part is it's ONLY offered in stick shift.

At the end of the day its an ugly 1 series with a now old twin turbo six cylinder built off a butched e46 platform......kinda sounds like an american car.

Better off buying a used e46 m3 and saving for a ess software flash and some coils.

Basically the first engine introduced for 335i and all the rest being 335 hp vs the 300 we ended up with. I can't see 35 hp bring sales up all that much. It loses no weight and the chassis is due for a remodel so blah, the car is how old now?

Taking an existing motor and changing the tuning slightly isn't exactly what I'd consider, and I quote, "M-Pure."

If that thing really gets the 6, BMW will have fucked up royally, again.

Call me when it has a 4 cylinder turbo and weighs less than 3000 lb.

It looks like a fat lard next to the M3.

Id rather just chip the 135 and keep it. I love the 135, and chipped it is nipping at 400hp.

Some of you guys need to get real, No one is going to make a 2700lb car nowdays and sell enough to keep the price low and turn a profit. Espcially with all the safety requirements. We are in the very very small minority that do not want all the comforts of modern cars. The 1 series is the closest thing to the e30 you are going to find. They drive great, are nimble and a very solid car. Hell its faster around a track then a caymen s. The only thing that they should change is the curved rocker panels.

if it weighs more than 31000lbs im not interested.

i test drove a 2010 mx5 yesterday. damn that thing is fun. so tiny. so lightweight. 2600lbs. very peppy, even for 150hp. i cant imagine what the original 2200lb NA miatas feel like.

Thats funny, MINI doesn't seem to have a problem building 2700lb cars and turning a hansom profits on each and every one. I wonder if BMW's product planning people have a fat chick fetish?

It's like an M20B25 car as far as power-to-weight. They are slow, but fun to drive. You can have a blast in them as long as you don't live your life a quarter mile at a time.
