New Shadowline idea...

What if instead of buying it brand new for 300, or spray painting it for 10, you could go to a junk yard and pull all of the black trim you want off say a 318is? They probably won't charge you much, and its not going to need a re-spray like the rattlecan method might.

More like if you can find a 318 in a junkyard more power to you. Im not sure what the junkyards are like where your from but ive only seen a few e30s in ohio junkyards.

Alright true, I have never seen an e30 in a junk yard, but I'm in CHAPIN, SC!!! The only E30s rolling around here are me and my two friends, thats pretty much it. Haha. Well, on the other hand, painting the trim is sounding better.

Hey guys dont rule out the Idea of grabbing stock shadowline from a junk yard.... theres always gonna be junked 318is's you just have to find them. My boy just got a full shadowline kit from a Junkyard in Gboro for 10 bucks..... perfect condition all in needed was a little forever black. I couldnt find another one so I just used electric tape.... I found a real thick role though so mine looks good SO FAR. Granted I dont know how long it will hold but I did a damn near perfect job and Im happy with it so far. Stay away from the paint unless your gonna do it like DrMCDave ...... diamond black...... its hot. If you dont entend to hit 100mph than you should be okay but trust me it doesnt hold up very well at a buck 20. Mine was chipping like crazy and I did all the steps .... sand, prime,sand, prime, than paint. I wish I knew about that other kinda tape you guys were talking about, that would prolly have been the ticket. Later and by the way I love what youve done Jordan...... you good peeps man. and thanks again for talking me out of that cam.
