why wouldn't you want the front to be lexan if you're racing?

RAIN, mostly, but also hazing/crazing/sandblasting. You can't run a wiper on Lexan.

It's also really hard to defog in certain conditions.

And it's not THAT much lighter than glass, in the thickness needed for a front windshield.

possibly i'll let you know..i don't want to replace my sunroof as i'm planning on using it as ventalation at the track, so i'll need to find a way to create one.

usually when you do a lexan window, you're racing the car and a lot of guys will take out the window motor and regulator for the weight savings. I doubt the window will allow for the motor and regulator to work.

Possibly and can we say scratches from the rolling up and down? This would be cool but as race only.

this will be a bolt/screw on kit..your ability to roll down windows will be lost. i'm going to begin working on the kit this weekend and i'll keep you guys posted. i'll announce price once i'm able to get complete pricing.

This price sounds pretty reasonable. Especially that it's available as darkened.

What weight savings could be expected with replacing just side windows (front, rear) and what would it be if a rear window would also be swapped?

Also, would the fronts be a direct replacement and work with OEM roll-down mechanism?

My concern is the flex - especially on rear window (and forget the windshield).
