I liked the story about the guys who tried to steal a car but had to give up because it was a manual and they didn't know how to drive it.. hahaha..

People who drive manuals I think learn to be more aware as well, you can multiply that by 10 if they ride a motorcycle for a year in any city and are alive.

'03 Legacy Wagon with all the options.. one owner, no kids, no smoking, OCD professional accountant so all service records since new. $5500 cash, and it's mint. We were so excited when we found it on craigslist, I left work early, got cash and we drove an hour and a half to seattle to buy it immediately. the only thing it needed were new plugs (they were GONE) and a new accessory belt. In the entire month we only actually found 3 manual outback/legacys, including the one we bought..
Only 2 days before, we almost bought one that wasn't nearly as nice for $8900! and they wanted to give us $2k for our trade in, we ended up selling that car privately for $3700.

My kids will learn to drive a manual car after they are conceived, birthed and grown up to that age. Its a vital skill and one that teaches you the real dynamics of driving.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I'm still pretty set on a Forester but I'll be waiting a little longer to pick one up. I'd like to clear my garage of e30 parts so the shoe can have the home she deserves.

I love my DCT...that being said, I probably will not keep my e90 past the warranty period.
Manuals are far from perfect too. I have my engine out now replacing the one in my e30 and am driving 4 hours tomorrow to pick one up because the junkyard one I pulled turned out to be bad.

If I had the cash to buy a new M3, I'd skip the manual and go for the DCT. Brilliant transmission.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Hahaha Im an amputee. Right side (damnit), Id give alot to be left side AK instead of right side AK for this one reason.
Im just going to put a shaft on the clutch to angle it over to where gas pedal is and weld another pedal on the shaft. Then move the throttle to infront of the original clutch pedal.
THat way everything is just reversed and Is till drive a clutch relatively unmodified.

That is what I thought but it is in a track car. The input shaft bearing on the origional one is shot and the junkyard tranny felt fine in the yard but once I got it home and inspected it further, it seems there is a tooth missing on one of the input shaft gears. My mistake was assuming it was fine since the engine had a broken rocker and was junked because of the engine.
The one I am getting is rebuilt and should last me a while.
I wonder how many DCTs are going to be around with >200k on them.
