    where to buy front glass

    anyone know a place to buy a front windshield? i called a couple places but the prices they gave me included installation. im right around boston if that helps with specifics.
    1991 318is --- currently not road worthy

    when i was searching to replace mine. i when to a bmw body shop and the referred me to a place they use. it cost me 350$ install for OEM or $700 for BMW glass

      I'm not sure what this means...

      $135 installed for PPg glass here in SF. Don't bother with OE glass unless your building a concourse car.

        ill take PPG it was on my old e30 and had no problems with it. none of that glass companies around here seem to keen on selling just the glass, they want to install which if i dont have to, id like to not pay for that as im fairly confident i can install it no problem.

          im pretty sure PPG is what BMW uses stock anyways. and they charge you another 4-500 for the bmw sticker they put on it.

          ive got a few quotes for ppg windscreen here in socal installed for around 130$

            I was quoted $185 from the dealer in Bellevue, WA for BMW glass, carry out, late last year.

                3 years ago I got PPG installed for $120 with a lifetime warranty. it's not worth doing it yourself at that price, since you don't get any warranty.

                  I purchased one a couple years ago and think it was around that price which I thought was reasonable enough to go with genuine glass verses aftermarket.

                  I just checked, and it appears the price has gone up significantly. $344.18 with 20% discount. Current MSRP is $430.23.
