yup

the one time i hydroplanned in my e30 was complelty on purpose.. I drove at about 30mph straight into a 4inch deep puddle in the middle of an empty parking lot area. It was sweet, but ya never on the highway or anything...

Only time not on purpose was turning left onto a freeway onramp, and was the only time it rained that whole week. Late at night so I was the only car making the turn, car slid like butter in a pan, full 180 and slippity backwards. Thankfully I didn't go over any curbs or anything, just a wake up call that I need new tires. These "dominator" generics the po put on aren't gonna cut it.

The S50 does just fine. I have always found that a set of tires and driving responsibly in adverse conditions is a LOT cheaper than another car and higher premiums.

My e30 is light, nimble, handles far better.

The brakes and engine are better in the M3, but not enough to blind me to its huge faults.

I greatly prefer driving my e30. It's shortcomings by comparison are easily fixed.
