    Gas sloshing cause fuel cutout?

So I took a right handed 180 degree offramp pretty quick last night to try out my new suspension. Had <1/4 tank of gas. When I got to the top of the off ramp and straightened out, the car all of a sudden lost power. CEL came on, but engine didn't die. Car kind of coasted like that for 50 feet, and then all of a sudden CEL went away and everything went back to normal.

I'm guessing that the fuel was low enough to slosh away from the pickup (passenger side) and the pump was temporarily dry? Does this sound right?

    Has this happened to others?

because your definition of 'flogging' is equivalent to my 90 year old grandmother driving her '88 Lincoln town car.

lol. and 235/50-15 R888s are pizza cutter grandma tires? :p

I did a full day of autox with the reserve light on once. I would have left to get more gas, but they didn't really give you a good break and I didn't want to drive around town on Hoosiers. Wasn't a problem. Yet some guys have issues with half a tank? Something has to be wrong.

I have the same experience an nando.
Session of time-attack with my light on.

I actually did run out of gas once down the street of my house, and I was taking quick turns prior to that; so idk, must be a problem?

I think if this were a tight, quick turn it wouldn't have happened. But this turn was a big looong sweeping turn. Long enough that I'd say gas was sloshed to the drivers side for at least 4-5 seconds. I'm going to fill the tank up and try again.

The pump is less than 1 yr old, I don't think it's failing.
And our cars have a low fuel light? I have never gotten that low to see it..didn't even know I had one.

I used to think mine was burned out and used to fill up at the red scared.
Now it's nice to know the light means +20 miles on my calculations.

the light should be nearly 2 gallons. that's 40-50 miles until you totally run out, but I don't like pushing it that far. I always drive until the light though.

all the on-ramps here are long sweeping right handers. one of my favorites is a tight 200 degree corkscrew, I can muster about 65mph and 1g+. I think I would have noticed there :p

on a track I usually fill up first, and end up with half a tank by the end of the day. I wouldn't want to run out there, the closest track is in canada and premium is almost $6 a gallon..
