Just use twistie ties or zip ties while the spring is still compressed to hold it. Ghetto but it works. Wear goggles. And just read that whole thread someone posted for you. It will explain everything, and if you can't understand the thread then have someone else do it.

P.S. To E30Kaiser my Uncle that owns a garage(his job/income) used to just clamp them and it gave way once. The spring hit the ground then his inside leg, it put him down for 6 weeks because of muscle damage. Compressed springs are nothing to mess with.
