I feel like I'm getting ripped off, my car should practically be an econocar in terms of displacement.

Yeah I find it weird too. If I drive mixed city/hwy agressive/granny I get like 19mpg. Super granny and I get 21. This is m52+3.73.

if your car is a stock M20, it should run fine on regular...better, in fact.

My car runs fine on regular. I get 21 city and highway and I kind of have a lead foot.

My turbo gets 25mpg on the highway, and 19mpg in the city.... or at used to until I developed a vacuum leak. Now a tank lasts me like a tad over 200 miles. Can't wait to have this thing serviced.

it's not that your car gets shitty mileage... it's that the z06 get's good mileage... ls power ftw... my camaro with an auto used to get 30/31 mpg on the highway.... and i could drive it to the track and run high 10's that way.

yeah, the Z06 drivetrain is just impeccably engineered. and it certainly helps that 6th gear is basically the econogear.

but I have a chip too. I was told that I need to run prem even tho it's a stock m20.

Considering running the stock chip for the first while as the car hasnt' been run in years as a daily driver (so I can run reg gas..as it's slightly cheaper and I have a sapre ECU with the stock chip). Sure I've driven it yearly, but methinks the car needs to be run daily for at least a week or so to get broken in again. I only used ot drive it for a few days a week per year at most.

Considering the purchase price of a vette over the cost the e30's using in fuel, I may as well drive the e30 for another 50 years b4 buying a vette would pay off. Hell, even getting a prius over the e30 isn't economically feasible.

seriously...dont' bother. i've chased down the fuel consumption problem for years and several hundreds of dollars later I had a smooth running e30 that still consumed considerably more than my old stock 5 speed 325es
