I think a 3.25LSD in a 325i With an M20B25 would make a slight difference. prolly will accelerate a bit slower but will give better mileage.
My 528e was amazing on gas. better than even my 1.6l old civic.Originally posted by e30elose the old man bmwcca badge.

Yup, my 86es was far better than my stock 84 Rabbit with 1.8 and a 5 speed. Interesting how that all works out with the gearing and such. Back in HS we were all taught that the smaller the engine was (and the fewer cylinders it has) the better the FE would be. bloody LIARS!!!

I get around 29-30 HW mpg matching correct r3vs. Rebuilding the eta m20 helps alot. I miss the hell out of my 91 honda hatchback, 43 mpg HW 32 if I drove like a bat out of hell.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

Originally posted by McGyver View Posti agree, the increased octane is just stoping knocking and allowing the computer to run at its peak (probably power over efficency). using the lower octane is just cheaper in the end, and may change the timing if the engine can even sense stuff like that.
