But, you do bring this to mind : the e36 is already 5lug and already has the much beefier rear end. why not start there?
I needed that.

save that e30 from it's riced out owner! The ls1 swap cd sold here would save you a ton of time on R&D. As far as the rear end is concerned, why not just swap a 318ti rear setup for a 5 lug in the rear. There are tons of wheels that come in both 5 and 4 lug that you could run a half and half setup. What about looking into throwing an e36 diff into the e30? If you have all the equipment available then you shouldn't have any real issue.
With all the time you'll save from the Swap kit cd, you can build a better rear end with an e36 diff.

I really hear you terp. I would love to save the e30 from its state but then danny's got me thinking why bother.
I would like too get back into an e30 but I don't want to start like this.
with the e36, just throw it in and do some reinforcement welds here and there, new brakes, springs/struts and so forth.
E36 seems to be more open minded to options

I'd do the black e36 for the beefier rear end and because it looks the cleanest body wise. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
