    1985 E30 Baur

Hi to all, I'm a new member but have been around and own a 1990 325i 5sp 1 owner and I love this car.
So my question is this, I've found a 85 e30 baur for sale, asking 3900 and seems to be in outsanding condition with a 5sp. It was imported from Germany and according to one expert it was 1 of 155 of this model made. It has a grey market title but it registered and titled in California and has a current smog certificate. So does this sound like a good buy or a car that someone should persue? It is very unusual and very nice looking but I dont want to mess around with it if its going to be a problem getting it titled here in Washington state, thanks for any help.

Yes thats the one, so have you seen it, so what makes it look to ugly? I've seen a few and with a little lowering and some nice wheels it could be nice, it looks great in the photos but that can be misleading, thanks.

Very few people here are fans of the baur e30. It just looks odd, and it needs a rear valence. With a rear valence, drop and some wheels it wouldn't be too bad though.

Hey thanks for all the feedback, I guess a person has to make up his mind if this is the car for them. It looks in mint condition but I wonder why its been for sale such a long time, maybe because he was asking 5800 not too long ago which is way off, thanks again.

if you like it, that is all that matters. it seems to be in great condition.

Nice looking car. Not a bad price, much cheaper than the one for sale in Seattle a while back. (it was for sale forever as well)

I'd pull off the cheap looking plastic bit on the front end, the steering wheel cover has to go pronto....and something a bit more exciting than the bottle caps.

that car has potential. it does look kinda strange but could be a beautiful car with a few changes

That's a pretty nice looking car. Definitely unique. My boss has a 320i that we converted to a 2.3L with a dogleg gearbox. It's a fun car to cruise around in with the top down. A bit strange with the window frames, but still a very neat car.

Thanks for all the imput, I guess any top condition e30 would be worth 3500 or so and you would be the only one at the local get togethers etc. I also think that dropping it with some rotas you could really have a nice looking e30.

that is a nice looking bauer, drop it on a set of coilovers from Ari on some 16x9 ESM BBS RS look alike and you have a pimping ride

baurs are weird and ugly, but their rarity is definitely their strongest point of appeal. If anything, buy it, make it nice (drop, wheels, etc) and resell it to someone whos actually looking for one
