My Ipad and a winning personality...

As much as I would like to add a concealed weapon to that I live in communist California where the right to bear arms is not good enough reason to bear arms according to my county.

I Agree with you on the carry thing, But with my job its nearly 100% impossible to carry all day. that and really not supposed to have a gun on most of the projects I work and can get run off for it. . Not that 99% of all the welders and inspectors dont have them in their rigs too. The last one I was on was cool though, me, the chief inspector, Welder foreman, Contractor Supper, and the gas company rep, were all having a little fun with CCW's and a pizza box after lunch one day, after consulting the gas company regs that firearms were not allowed on the job. I toss it in my bag so I dont have to leave it in my hotel room and have the whole case come up missing or leave it in my personal truck when working and have the same happen to it while parked at a hotel.
I agree its not always possible to carry a gun on your body everywhere you go...back when I was going to school, I would carry in my bag as it definitely aided in concealment, and was a better compromise IMO than not carrying at all - carrying on college campuses is legal in PA, however my school's policy was to basically expel you if caught. While illegal for the school to do this (since it was a public school that accepted state funds) if you were expelled you were basically on your own to fight it through the court system. Complete and utter academia BS (where else could you get away with sh*t like this?) but reality nonetheless. In fact, a good buddy of mine would leave his gun in the car during class...his car was broken into in the student lot one day, and it was stolen. He filed a police report, the college caught wind of it, and all shit hit the fan. He's still mired down in the courts suing for reinstatement...

While I agree that special circumstances sometimes require carrying in a bag...most people are better served with it on their body. But, it's uncomfortable, tough to conceal, etc etc...guess it depends on your dedication/motivations for getting a permit.

You got me with Rape whistle  and then Bear Grylls
That was awesome! One day I'll figure out how to carry around a fully kitted MARSOC operator...till then, my G19 will have to do. Oh, and maybe one of those 'rape alert stations' you see around college campuses :p

Bah, eastern PA. Out where there's actually something worth going to within a 4 hour drive :p (AND isn't Ohio).

I pretty much avoid anywhere that either my VA or PA permits aren't accepted...which, conveniently, isn't anywhere I like to go anyways! The only real PITA for me is Maryland, which I have to drive through for 2.2 miles on my way 'home' to Virginia. Lets just say I drive EXACTLY the speed limit through there ;)

Check out Chrome bags. Not sure if it will fit all 119 items, but at least when you look at it, it won't scream "there's a gun in here!"

Nothing screams "there's a gun in here!" to 99% of people. They're just way too oblivious/unconcerned about their surroundings. Except maybe a grown man wearing a fanny pack

YES THAT You have beat me too it

Yeah I have MT, PA, permits and will get a FL and UT permits when I have both the time and the money (at the same time) to take the approved course and submit the forms.

When I am working there is little time to go to anything and normaly I am out in the middle of NOWHERE just the way I like it. I am county/rural kid so I HATE THE CITY towns over 5k people are annoying to me lol. And why are you implying that Ohio is worth going to, its nearly as bad as Iowa

I believe Milliey is still to pedo to be saving the earth with so there for I must say I would not be repopulating the earth with her. The world is not ending but you never know when bad shit will go down. That and there is the old aesop's fable about the ant and the grass hopper, I guess I kinda took that to heart as a kid. That and spending more time with my g-Parents (depression kids) and growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere has rubbed off on me at an early age. Frankly I am so very very thank full for it.

I agree that I'd much rather carry on my person, but due to regs at work and about 99% of all manufacturing plants in the US, they have fairly strict policy on no concealed weapons...which is funny because all but 1 had no clue that I had a weapon with me since it was...concealed. I did get questioned at the one plant that had a metal detector though as I walked in, saw it and walked back out and locked it in the car....

Also, if you have to wonder when you'll ever need a weapon, put yourself in a situation like the students at VT...if JUST 1 of them had a weapon they could have saved the lives of dozens.

I dont want to debate guns, just would like to find an ideal briefcase/backpack to use for my daily needs that will keep everything organized.

btw, anyone else find it difficult to actually read Mr. Sleeve's posts with his avatar right there?
