One thing I love about my job...

About 6 months ago, I had posted a thread about wanting to start running, and start losing weight. Well, I didn't stick with it. However, 4 months ago, I got a new job doing construction / roofing, and all I have to say is that I don't think running could have produced results like this.

    Weight:

    Dec. 1st 2004 - 235 lbs.
    Apr. 4th, 2005 - 210 lbs.

    Waist size:

    Dec. 1st 2004 - 38 inch
    Apr. 4th, 2005 - 36 and falling

Drastically increased and very noticeable upper body muscle mass
    Drastically increased physical strength
More energy, stamina, and overall health has improved greatly

I'm currently wearing 36 inch waist pants that I bought for work, and now I'm going to have to go buy 34's, because the 36's are falling off, even with my belt tightened. It's kind of cool to tell people you run into that you're working your ass off, and have it be the truth.

I worked a lot of new home construction when I was in high school, and I can definitely agree that it gets you into shape.

Awesome dude  Glad to see someone with real results that didn't go on one of those stupid fad (crash) diets.

Diets are for suckers. Sure, maybe they work for some people, but 99.9% of them don't. All you have to do is stop eating so much crap, get off your ass, and do something physical. It's not that hard.

Mrs. Anderson is indeed pleased. :D

I dont blame you for quiting running. Its damn hard to run 7 miles a day if you don't do it in a group.

I couldnt gain weight if I tried.

I blame it on being born early.

But ya I agree lifestyle change is the best way to lose weight, get a more active job, eat less shitty food etc.

              Sold it.

Same shit. I work out at the gym 3-4 days per week and I've been stuck at 165 for the past two months... this shit's pissing me off.

Great to hear Josh, a chunk of weight like that makes getting around a hell of a lot easier. I went from 215 to >160 over last spring/summer....still to this day do not know what caused it. :?

                            *Duh*

I also went from a 38 (which were starting to tighten up) to a now loose 36. Just from my fish job going from part time to full time :P Tossing around 200lb. fish all day works great I guess.

Too bad all I do is drive around all day now, but I've started working out again, hopefully just get into 34's and look all ded seksi
