      bring a bottle of coolant or water, a little 12v compressor is a good idea too.

        I took my old m42 from boston to miami and back twice, and also boston to LA and back, just bring some coolant, tools, and check fluids at stops like said above, I never had one problem on any of the trips.

          I brought my 91 318is from Chilton (about 1 1/2 hrs north of you) to Sandusky Ohio 2 weeks ago. I checked my tires, changed oil, and cleaned the interior before setting off. Everything went well, almost hit 200k lifetime miles, and got 30.3 mpg :D
