Hans arrived in time to join me for a rare visit to the office...these guys kinda look a little alike.

Had the wife meet me for a drink at our favorite summertime digs, Island Cafe

    Love this place

Hans wanted to get a closer look at the girls we keep penned up in the back yard

Hans wasn't too sure about the chickens but liked what they left for him

When I got one of the hoarder shirts, the wife joked that it looked like Iron E and Dvck used my parts cache for their inspiration

So Hans and I attempted to recreate it, not exactly the same but pretty close

Hans took a liking to the Borbets and wanted a shot with one of 'em

at lunch today, a co-werker looked upon Hans for answers

knowing he drives a scoobie, he began to feel sad

another is a little concerned and tries to hypnotize me with Hanss power

it doesn't work..Hans is my friend..

back at work, my Boss parks next to my car, and Hans thought why not a pic since he rarely drives the 993....but my cars still lower

find Hans in the pic game is now on.

i hope to earn enough $$ to have a 993 someday too.

now im about done with work for the weekend. and a few plans have yet to unfold...
my turn is very near its conclusion, so login, post and reply to your pms for the next member in line.

I told hans we were heading to a football game, but I don't think this is what he expected

It was a blowout by halftime and hans was bored so we took off. Hans was bitching that he hoped tomorrow would be better...

Hans seemed a little bored last night...not too impressed with the goings on; I told him today would be better...well, it wasn't boring...

We joined the bmwOregonCCA club for a drive to Mt. St. Helens, an active volcano in SW Washington which had a major eruption in 1980. About 20 cars made the drive, 2 being e30s (WTF r3v?). We took my wife's e46 M3 vert on today's drive.

"New" 2000 M Roadster Coupe - My friend Tom just picked this up from a local collector who is thinning his collection. This car has 4800 miles.

A nice line up of e46s ready for a great day of driving northwest roads

Most of you have probably seen pictures of this car on here before, it is one fabulous M3.

We drove by a hot rod car show on the way out of town...

The NW is beautiful this time of year and gets even better over the next month as leaves begin to change colors.

While hans is not in every picture, he was definitely on the ride...

First rest stop at a fish hatchery

Hans would make a decent lure

Rows and rows of juvenile salmon

One very nice Porsche Turbo joined us for the drive today

                Vert hair

One of the drive participants went off the payment shoulder, over-corrected and ended up in the weeds.

Up the bank and rolled over before coming to rest in the ditch

                Ouch

                Hans consoling the fallen brother

Our destination, Mt. St. Helens, in the distance

                Checking out the shoulder

Where it all started, Hans hangs out in the trough where the driver first went off the road.

This guy isn't supposed to be on our drive

After we got the fallen comrade on a tow truck and the driver and passenger heading home, about half the group continued to our destination. The last 5 miles of the road to the mountain are closed so this is as close as we could get to the active volcano.

                Looking east to Mt. Adams

In the distance you can see the standing timber/snags which were stripped of vegetation during the blast 32 years ago as well as the regrowth

                Miners Car

Overall it was a beautiful day in the PNW and a great drive; it was just unfortunate that one of the drive's participants had an accident. Luckily no one was seriously hurt.

                Hans wasn't bored today!

challane accepted , this was a bonus weekend, so i tried to make the best of it.
this post is somewhat educational too.

heres some friday/saturday pix, and sundays soon to fallow.

friday, washed blue after about a year of not washing blue.

as the sun fell below the skyline, i was pulled to look up upon a much deeper color pallate, hopefully this pic can report a sliver of what was transpiring up there. my cars reflectino showing a bit more orangesh and it was very deep colors, but owell, main thing is blue is now waxed for the winter.

drove by the BMW dealership, looks like Hans is BIGGER then their sign after all.

saturday was spent in Tacoma, and i found a touring, Hans is in there...and there are more shots of this car which will be on the e30 sightings of pnw.

a stone cold boy with his birds + you know who,.

this plane very likely shot down many of Hans distant relatives, but thats all water under the bridge now...Hans was cool with ' everytings '

                        found the Concorde
hint, open the pix in another tab (or window) and click the image again for FULL size...the pic below came out very well imo...

                        the cockpit of the concorde

I think this decal is very fitting in the Hans thread (found on the Concorde )

a better of the cockpit since where here

inside the concorde, i touched up hans to look brighter

this mural is about 5 stories tall..
Hans looks like he's a badge on the space suit.

Hans is a bit of a vampire .

looks like obama in a space suit

and Hans 2 is officially in 'space 2 ' ...orbiting a huge earth tapestry (i don't know how else i can get him up there, so he was jettisoned from the hip.

he was found on the moon too, and nearly driven over by the Moon Rover...you can actually see the big boot prints where Astronaut Eugene A. Cernan, had to get out and pick up the debris...(see, this is educational ) :)

this says it all (in different ways)

this is Hans 2 inside the actual engine of a blackbird ssr

here are 2 blackbird ssr's one is the cockpit that we sat in (which crashed) and the other is ...well, entirely there..so sleek, it puts the awe + some into awe-max
i was on the 3rd or 4th floor looking down from this shot (below)

ok, taking it back a bit....to some early stages of germans engineering

                        hmmmmmmm, u dont say

the bomber that dropped an atomic bomb...wrapped up like nothing i have ever seen or expected.

something that appears to have witnessed the dropping of it

got home pretty late, and took a pic of the local 425 storefront .

                        another local e30s

unable to stop, heres another for posterity.

wrapping it up, we hit a local chill point...very sultry at night ..hans is in the center.

These are some of the best pictures ever! Hope whoever was in that rolled BMW is all ok.
MT. St Helens picture brings back memories. I remeber it all over the news, then came little tubes of ashes for sale form the volcano. Ha! Anything to make a buck, even back then.

Idanity, Radness has occured in all your posts. Thank you SO much for handling this one so well and you know what I mean.
That last picture with Hans written in fire would make a great screensaver. I dig that!
Awesome pics as well my friend, job well done!

this post is somewhat educational too.

heres some friday/saturday pix, and sundays soon to fallow.

friday, washed blue after about a year of not washing blue.

as the sun fell below the skyline, i was pulled to look up upon a much deeper color pallate, hopefully this pic can report a sliver of what was transpiring up there. my cars reflectino showing a bit more orangesh and it was very deep colors, but owell, main thing is blue is now waxed for the winter.

drove by the BMW dealership, looks like Hans is BIGGER then their sign after all.

saturday was spent in Tacoma, and i found a touring, Hans is in there...and there are more shots of this car which will be on the e30 sightings of pnw.

a stone cold boy with his birds + you know who,.

this plane very likely shot down many of Hans distant relatives, but thats all water under the bridge now...Hans was cool with ' everytings '

                              found the Concorde
hint, open the pix in another tab (or window) and click the image again for FULL size...the pic below came out very well imo...

                              the cockpit of the concorde

Hans was wiped out from all the activity Saturday so he just hung around inside while I caught up on some yard work Sunday. He did join me for a well deserved martini at the end of the day.
