I drove down to see what the E90 was all about, but was more interested in checking out the nice examples of previous 3ers. Some of the pics from the day...
You must have been there sometime after 11 AM when everyone else went for the drive. I was kinda thinking you might have shown up, but we had already left by the time you arrived.
Let me tell you guys this-the guy from Mobile Tradition, Larry Koch, is an IDIOT! He was a smartass to some of the CCA members and their questions regarding the E90, and he did not even know that the new 325i comes with a 3 liter engine! I just heard from a friend that at todays event in Dallas, he was asked why the E90 does not have a temp gauge. He replied, "I just drove 5 hours in it, of course it does!" The people said to show it to them, and after he looked again he said, 'Oh, that is the MPG gauge...." 'Nuff said.
Jonathan-did you see the two large scratches and the ding on the right front fender of the E30? My friend and I were the first people there that morning and were watching the people setup the cars. One of the pretty blonde girls was trying to get one of those aluminum stands situated between the 2002 and the E30, when she dropped it on the fender of the E30! She instantly got this awful look on her face, and turned and looked at my friend and I as we were standing 3 feet behind her when it happened. I myself winced and just turned around and walked away-but I know BMW will fix it to where you cannot tell it ever happened.
The event overall was nice-especially the media event at 6pm at the Sheridan Hotel. Tons of food and drinks all for free. I am personally very pleased with the styling of the E90 in person-it is very nice. I will probably buy one in three years, and my mom will be ordering a 325i very soon.
I'll try to catch you at the next club event we have.

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...
All of those cars are from my lovely state of South Carolna, they must be stored at the zentrum or somthing. here is a link to a local dealer with a 87, which in my opinion is in like new condition, better that that one in the pics, also check out the sweet 6er they have.
Oh and its not just a 500 mile example , its also the very first one built .
Hey you left out the wost parts of the E60 :
The new engine cover looks very cheesy , like an APC piece or something .
The amber turns inside the headlights is also lame .
And I hate the chrome on the hood anove the kidneys .
I just bought an 88 325iS with 34,560 miles on it: white with black interior. Found it in a recent BMWCCA Roundel magazine classified. NOT a garage queen, and driven each weekend by an enthusiast who used other cars during the week. I put 3500 miles on it in 1-1/2 weeks, so it's life has changed a bit. Amazing shape. Gets more stares than my last car: a Rio Red modded 99 Mustang Cobra. Hilarious. 8)

Are those the only two pictures you took of the e90?
Damn, that e30 is in incredible shape! How many miles were on it?
I wasn't really interested in the E90 honestly, so those are the only pictures I took of it. Nice car I suppose, looks good in person.
I talked to the Mobil Tradition guy who takes care of the older cars and said they purchased the e30 from a guy in PA I believe, with 55k miles. They then put all new trim pieces and resprayed any body panels that had rock chips or scratches. They also fixed any leaks and got it to perfect running condition. The car currently had 58k miles.
