Interesting that the Mustang needs a 5.0 liter to get 412hp whereas the M3 only has a 4.0L and gets 414hp.
Maybe there is a $25,000 price difference because the Mustang is more cheaply made than the M3....

I wouldn't say that it "needs" it, it's just one of Fords common engine sizes. Ford loves the 4.6/5.0. Chevy loves the 5.7/6.0. Mopar does whatever the hell they want lol.Matt

I agree, 5.0/302CI are nostalgic almost for sure, I doubt very much if BMW has better engineers / production than Ford does.
the displacements of modern small block V8's mirror the same displacements that they have used for 3-4 decades.(edit, in many cases that is)Comment
