its like 4900 rev limit for the eta. the biggest difference in HP come from the fact that that the intake manifold in 2/3 diameter of an "i" intake.

the eta has the feeling of instant power, but then feels gutless after 50mph.

the "i" is barely slower off the line but builds power and feels fast over 15mph.
gotcha, thanks for the info. time to do some more research on this hybrid motor

swap in the 173 ecu. you as long as you go with the i head you'll be fine on the higher rev limit, it has double valve springs and nicer ports. The engine will only be .2L larger, it the stock ecu can adjust to the increase just fine.

thanks man, you should see the interior, i'm gonna take some better pics this weekend of it.

i'm the third owner, it was family owned and garage keep since 85. Had spray starter fluid in the throttle body to make her fire up and then had to pull the themostat out because it was stuck closed and wasn't letting the coolant flow though, and a new battery in. it sputters a little and iles high when sitting but overall runs good for a car that hasn't been driven for 3 years..

Fantastic choice! I've owned an 86 es and currnetly an 88is.

While both are awesome cars, for daily driving, I vote for the 86 es.

Looks very clean. Love the mud flaps! It would look great with some Euro bumpers.

Dibs on the mudflaps if you don't want them. Nice es, now time to make it a 2.7i! Also, it has an IS front airdam instead of an ES front, swap in an oil cooler since you already have the vents lol.
