yea welll i lost my phone (verizon) last week and claimed insurance (asure) on it threw; down $50 & they sent it to me thru DHL. any-hoo called them up today to check where it was seeing that it was over nighted & they said it was delivered to the office at my complex (last friday) & the receptionist (m. carver) signed for it. so i go down there to try to get it to find that they didn't get it & m. carver isn't even someone who works there. so what think i am going to do is call the insurance co. back & try to get a new 1 which is going to be a task in it self cuz they make you call the cops & the cops make you tell them a serial no. that i don't even know. + i don't know how insurance boys are going to handle it seeing the situation (i bet they charge me 50 more tho). also tho my roomy had some posters 3 dayed to him and two weeks later he had to go harass the office ppl. (slackers) to get them.......i don't think he mentioned anything about having someone who didn't work there sign for his package though. so any advice/similar stories/hack-job detective work would be much aprecated.

Suggestion number 1 - Speak English and write in complete and intelligible sentences.
2nd i lost my phone & clamed insurance on it last thursday btw they charged me $50. today i called the insurance co because they were suposed to over night it to me. they said that the office signed for it on last friday. so i go to pick it up from them & they say that they don't have it plus the guy who signed for the package doesn't even work there. but the receptionists are slackers, for example: my roommate ordered some posters & had them 3 day mailed to him. he never got them so 2 weeks later he went to te office & asked them if they had the package. they said no, so he asked to look him self & he found it. he didn't say anything about the guy signing for it not working there though. so i was going to call the insurance co. and try to have them sort me out for the phone that i never received; but i'm guessing there going to make me file another claim. filing a claim means a bunch of phone tag with: the cops, the insurance co., verizon, & now probably DHL (the shipping co.). they are probably going to try to chardge me $50 due to the $50 co pay when i lose my phone. so what i was asking for, before i was shot down, was advice preferably from some one who has had experince with shister: insurance co.'s, complex receptionists, & possibly people who sign for packages which are not theirs.
3rd i have wasted the last five mins of my life writing ^this^ it will never happen again. sorry if you can't hack the broken english but i dont post here for grammar lessons.
4th now that your done flaming me some constructive answers would be nice.

I would confront the manager with the fact that either he/she signed with a phony name or allowed someone else to do so. How can a person be in the office that does not work there?

2. You still are not clear about all of this. I get that you had the "insurance" on your phone. It has a $50 deductible that you have paid, correct? A replacement was supposed to be overnighted to you at an office - is that at your job, or somewhere else? You aren't very clear about that.
It is important because you need to figure out whether it is the shipper or this office that is responsible for losing the replacement phone. If the person who signed for it does not work at the place you had the phone shipped, then you need to get on the shipping company. I doubt the phone insurance people will want to do anything because they fulfilled their obligation to you - they sent you the phone. Once it is in DHL's hands, it is their baby.
3. Where do the cops fit in with this? If you have coverage for losing your phone, why do you need to get them involved? Or is your coverage just for a stolen phone and you need to file a police report? If that is the case, then you are foolish to be filing both a false police report and a false insurance claim for a phone you say was "stolen" when in fact you just lost it.
4. My advice, don't buy a phone you can't afford to replace if you are going to lose it.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

2) it was sent to my apartment. i thought the whole roommate ancidote was enough but apparently not.
3) i didn't put this in because it's kinda gratutious but you wanted it so....my insurance made me call the cops. i was happy to let them sit this one out but my insurance had other plans. also, no i did not report it stolen & suprisingly they filed a case on it even though i reported it lost (not like they're looking for though). btw thank for pointing out i would be a idiot for doing this.
4) my phone would have cost me a whopping $120 (a year ago) if they hadn't given it to me for free when i signed up for my 2 yr plan. your missing the point though which is: i pay 2-3 dollars to the insurance so i dont have to ever deal with buying a new phone. granted it wasn't exactly breaking the bank to bypass the insurance i like to think i pay them for something.
5) caricter assaination aside that was actually pretty good (i.e. #2). so thanks for that i guess & as for the rest wow your bitter. did i run over your dog or something? b/c all i can remeber doing is asking for advice.
btw thanks for hashing out that i am: 1 a dumb ass, 2 (3 in your arguement) a fraud, & 3 (4) broke. if there are any murders that i've commited it would be nice to know about those as well. tell you what why dont you just assume all my posts have an unseen "feel free baslessley to rail me" written at the bottom.
6) parkerbink had it right anyway (big-ups). i went down to the office to ask the clerk if i could look thru the package room with her for my new phone before i called up dhl to see what hoops they want me to jump thru. she said ok so we go look in the room & she starts DIGGING. mean-while i'm looking at my apartment # in bold face 4" lettering on a box at eye level right next to the door so grab it & get out of there. normally me & who ever runs the curcus other wise known as the desk at my comlex would have had a discusion about who the hell signs for packages down there but my lease ends in a month so ill leave that for someone who will actually deal with them again.
7) in conclusion:
a) the counter workers at my complex barely edge out monkies on the grounds that they don't hurl fecies & apartment clerks are not to be trusted in general.
b) thx daveCN for the logic & advising i chase down dhl if all else fails (btw your still an ass). thx parker bink for the advice & not crushing me.

IBTL.
Also, although Dave was a bit harsh about it he is right. I stopped reading your posts after a few sentences. We don't expect perfection but when our brains come to repeated instances like "my compex", "caricter", and "baslessley" they tend to stop and try to figure out what the fuck you are trying to say. Enough and we just say, "Fuck it" and ignore you.
Maybe run your posts through Word beforehand.Im now E30less.
