    opinions of automatic tranny?

Got a line on a good deal for a 91 325i. Unfortunately its an auto. If it were a 5 speed, my descision would be much easier. Really solid car, only rust is on the bottom of the doors. faded Bronzit. Typical interior issues. 200k miles, under $1k.

i like my auto....but again its my winter AWD car, so to me the car is serving a purpose rather than a sporty sports car. Plus on those long drives up north, its good to have other ppl take the wheel (who don't know how to drive stick) =)

Having the option to drive an auto is really nice. Although if I had to choose one over the other it'd be manual for sure.

Buy the car, drive it auto for awhile, swap the 5spd in and do some other shit to it. You'll be happy!

Bronzit with automatic and m badge.

They didn't make the IS in 91' but that one has some of the options like weaves, spoiler, coupe body. Might have some other stuff like LSD, 13 button OBC, lip etc. It looks like it has skirts? If so, there may be cancer under there.

The only rust I found was on the leading edge of the hood and bottom of the passenger door. the rest of the car is clean clean clean!
