    Vert rear window collapsed

So I was washing my car yesterday and press down a little stiffly on the rear window to clean the dirt off of it. Next thing I know, the whole window collapses in. The seams that were holding it in are trashed(the little string bits) and from what I remember, most of them were already destroyed when I got the car. So now I have no rear window and Ive tried to tape it up with duct tape & gorilla tape, but it just doesnt stay. Plus all this terrible rain weve been having doesnt help.

And I really need to replace the whole window, its sunburnt so you cant see through it

What should I do? I cant quite get a new rear window because everyone I have asked says that they wont sew it in for me, and that I have to get a whole new top. Ive got 180 bucks, so that isnt going to happen. Any ideas?

180 wont even get you a new window sewn in. I paid 350 from a relative because the top had to come off. I recommend duct tape, sorry

that kit is a colossal waste of time unless your a pro. I wasted 6-7 hours and it still leaked

I thought about buying that, but I probably would miss a hole when stitching it and make it leak.

For now I just duct taped some straps on to the window and looped them around stuff like the tension straps and support bars

if the top is in good condition then sew the old window zipper back in and buy a zip in from emiata. otherwise get the sew in one and replace the whole top later. duct tape wont work (i've tried). do it right and it will last, just dont half ass it.

find a used top w/o a fucked rear window. or just invest in hard top

Ive got a hardtop for sale about 1 1/2 hrs from you and it really cuts down on the heat in summer time vs the soft top.

Dont really wanna go through the hassle of changing the whole top if I dont have to, so Im hoping I can get a replacement window

This interests me, but its all really gonna depend on your price, and you probably dont wanna deal with a broke highschool kid on a price

Well its more $$ than a soft top yes, but its a lifetime part. It needs a headliner which I may do myself but Id let it go for $650 firm as is... pm me if interested.
