    86 325es

    Hi
I recently sold my E36 and am new to the worls of E30's. My mechanic is selling a 1986 325es. It's in fantastic condition (Florida kept most of it's life) and has 186k miles.
There's one thing that I can't figure out though. The bodykit appears to be different than that of a "normal" 325es. The quarterpanels have these "indented" lines instead of being smooth like on other models. If I could find a picture of it I'd post it but I'm not having much luck with that. Were there different "stock" bodykits available for this model?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rob

I wish I could find a damn picture of it. It bears a VERY SLIGHT resemblance to some of the Mitsubishi Eclipse (and I mean very small resemblance) kits that have these "lines" in them. I'm still looking for a picture somewhere but somone must know what I'm talking about.
      Thanks
      Rob
Edit: It's actually a 2 door 325e (not es). Did the 325e have a different bodykit than the es?

It doesn't have the god-awful 'testerosa' kit does it?

is it about 8 inches high, and run behind the front doors, but before the rear fender openings? Like 4 ridges?

I think it was actually an old BBS body kit, very 1980's. I know I've got a picture of one floating around somewhere.

Why not take an actual picture of the car?

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

The 'testarosa" body kit is cheap. Get it replaced with another or just leave the stock one on.

I saw that body kit on an E30 in a junkyard looks kinda funny. :D

Yeah- Sounds like it could be the BBS kit. Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'm gonna get an E30 :D
As soon as I get it I'll take a few pictures.
                    Thanks again

Edit: I found pictures of the Reiger kit (I'm assuming this is the Testarosa one). It is NOT that kit. That thing is pretty hideous.

If you like the car, get it, but i would almost say hold out for an i. If you plan to mod, go wiht the" i "definately, parts galore as opposed to the e. I loved my e to death, awesome car, but my i is alot better.

Thanks for the feeback. I like the "e" because from what I've found they are pretty bulletproof and they get fantastic gas mileage. Almost all my driving is highway driving and my E36 had a 3.91 differential which to say the least did not give too great of mileage (but was fun as hell off the highway). Also- I need something that will be really cheap to insure since I live in Boston and insurance was raping meon the E36. Thanks again for the help everyone.
