Hmmmm Eureka huh? Looks like a hell of a deal. Especially with the mileage. How'd you find it if you don't mind me asking? I believe they started making them in 4/91 upto maybe 7/91, so there's no way it could be a 90. Sounds like he really doesn't know what he has. U sure it's his??? lol. Most if not all verts still had diving board bumpers in 90. The top looks good in the pic. Any interior shots?

Buying an M-tech II - Question about pinstripe

Looks like a nice find, whether or not it's an original M-tech II. Most likely it is, if it's as you described. It would take a lot of money to replicate one and I doubt anyone would turn around and sell it for that price.
If you want to confirm the build date, punch the last seven digits into www.realoem.com. If you want to know if it's real m-tech II, post up the last seven digits of VIN and someone can look up the build sheet on the ETK. It should indicate S771A ("full" M-technic) option.
When I was considering buying mine, I joined http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/bmwe30ic/
and the members were very helpful in providing information.sigpic

I found it on craigslsit. Here is the guys ad on CL:
"I have a 1990 BMW 325i convertible, M series, factory lowered, red and black convertibel. I bought the car for my daughter. She drove it for a few months and decided she did not like convertibles. The top is an original and will need a new one. The interior is in great condition. It has 115K miles and the timing belt was replaced at 105K. It also has an awesome radio system. I am looking to trrade for any motorcycle with the same value but please NO project bikes. Honda, Suzuki, Ymaha, Vespa, Sportster, Kawasaki, BMW. Let me know what you have. I am in the process of moving and no pix at this time. Call me and I will send you via cell phone. Thank you for looking."
The guy is in his 60's and rides harleys hehe...said he owned it since 1999. He said he is a bimmer guy and that his wife owns a 600 series (LOL). No pics of the interior, the pic I posted is the one he sent to my cell phone, then I checked it out in person. He's going to give me the VIN on Wednesday. Car is stored in Hercules, but he has a second home in Frisco and works in Palo Alto. I'll post it up tomorrow. Thanks for your help guys! :D

Too much info bro. It's a full M technic...go buy it before someone else does. Double check that build date though, to confirm."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Checked the build date using robrez links: 5/91 so the dude definitely doesn't know what the hell he's got LOL. All of the options are coming as m-technic also. Pulled a carfax on it, car has been well maintained through out its life. Can't wait to pick her up :)
