        I've seen that M5 at BMW NA in Montvale, NJ. It is crazy clean.... the outside door handles "clicked" with such precision I no longer thought any of my cars were that nice. The black plastic trim around the rear bumpers that is wavy on every E28 I've ever seen, is flat and unfaded. You accept all of these minor irritants in the cars you and I drive - until you see a 12K mile example up close.

          I worked on these cars (not M5s, duh) when they were new...and yeah, I feel your pain!

          Stuff like you are saying there is why I think of my car as such a pile!

              Great article! When he mentioned the smell of BMW leather I immediately knew what he was talking about! Even after owning my car for only a year I can tell a difference. One day I would love to own one of these, much less drive one!

                Yeah as soon as i read that i knew what he was talking about. Its such an unmistakable smell
