call a tow truck, have him lift the engine out of the car, and tow it to your house. You will most likely fuck up your rocker if you try to muscle a m20 into the passenger side. just my 2 cents.

^that's not a bad idea for the less adventurous people. shit i see 5 or 10 old pickups driving around every day with hoists mounted in the bed for scrap collecting and who-knows-what. find a guy like that local to you and pay him 50 bucks or something to come help you out.

thanks guys. im gonna do what i can to get it home. i feel like if nothing else i can make back my time and money by just selling the head off it if i ever needed the money back.

the car sits between two shops, ill see if i can borrow a lift from one of them. only problem is ill need a few sheets of plywood.

Could you just tow the car to your house, drop the eninge through the bottom then tow the car back?

Rent for an engine hoist is only a few bucks and a few sturdy boards to put under its wheels to roll on. Save a lot of angst. This why people who own pickup trucks have more friends than those who do not.
