    look what i found..

the engine bay was full of a rat's nest

    But look inside.

    It looks new

Heads alone are worth at least 150 right? i believe this one is nice too.
ODO read 120.. not sure if its broken or not yet.
The lady also said it was ported/ polished before being parked..

what do you guys think? should i pick up the whole motor or no.. is it worth 150?

150 is a good deal for that head assuming there's not some secret problem or crack in it. try to get the whole motor for 250 or something.

uhhh.. the whole motor is 150. i just have to pull it, and i dont have a truck, nor a engine lift.

my plan is to lift the car off the front subframe and push it back. then unbolt the autotragic, and motor shits, and try to somehow muscle the motor into my vert.
any ideas for that? maybe, just maybe the shop will let me borrow a lift..

you will definitely not be able to do that. THIS is what i would do, more or less, if i had to get an engine out without a lift, etc:

To remove a transmission, I simply do this (when it's not my car):

1: Remove tranny crossmember, with jack under transmission. Slowly remove jack, letting everything sag.

2: Remove strut top mount bolts (3 per side).

3: Remove 3 of the 4 bolts holding the front subframe on.

4: Get out of the way (this is essential).

5: Remove 4th bolt from safe distance. If engine fails to immediately fall on the ground (engine ground strap, steering rubber donut, or exhaust pipes hanging it up), jump up and down upon it as necessary from within engine compartment.

6: Unbolt transmission at your leisure. ALL bolts will be accessible, even if you have a Harbor Freight wrench set with the flashing still on each wrench.

I'll freely demonstrate the technique next time someone wants help with a tranny swap...

as far as loading the engine into your e30...good luck. ha! you'll need atleast 3 strong guys to lift and lack of all respect for your backseat.

You could rent a truck from Uhaul so you dont need to worry about breaking/running anything in your vert.

Ya your gina need a lift to get it in your car.

But pull out your pass. seat, and it should fit...although a little rough on your interior.

I was gonna pull the tranny off. Andjust throw the block. Head.and intake on a tarp where my passenger seat goes. Its only 300 lbs... like a really dense dead body... it can be done.. I hope.

Oh and how does one remove the 4th bolt from a safe distance?

a breaker bar on a ratchet would work, im sure you can figure out how to remove that 4th bolt. safe distance just means not directly under the engine/tranny. as far as picking it up, like i said, it can be done with a few strong guys. also don't forget that the car will have to be up off the ground a good deal to allow room for the engine to slide out.

Leave the suspension connected via the 6 nuts that hold the front housings on. Then remove them after the subframe is out. Use a tire to soften the drop.
